Keith Penera, DPM, is a board certified podiatrist specializing in foot and ankle disorders including wound care, fractures, reconstruction, and sports injuries. Dr. Penera completed his undergraduate studies at UCLA where he received his bachelors of science in chemistry. He received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine with academic honors and was the president of his class. He completed his residency in podiatric medicine and surgery, with reconstructive rearfoot and ankle certification, at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center in California. While there, he also served as chief podiatric resident.
Patients see Dr. Penera as knowledgeable and friendly, and a good communicator who works hard and demonstrates integrity. Dr. Penera believes in giving back to his profession and has served as an assistant professor in the College of Podiatric Medicine at Western University of Health Sciences. He also serves as attending teaching staff for the Long Beach Memorial Podiatric residency and UCI-Fountain Valley Podiatric residency programs. Dr. Penera has authored several papers on topics related to the foot and ankle. In his free time, Dr. Penera enjoys spending time with his wife Rebecca and their three daughters.
